Return to the Rails - Vincent Tweed

Following a major overhaul and repaint, the former LB&SCR A1X ‘Terrier’ class 0-6-0 tank locomotive named “Brighton Works”, is being returned to its Heritage Railway somewhere in West Sussex. Views of the railway can be observed at the rear of this 1:76 scale diorama

The Scania T Cab with its low-loader trailer, belonging to Ridgeway of Oswestry, would not normally haul railway locomotives, but I liked the appearance of the vehicle, so it’s modeller’s licence. The actual lorry was withdrawn from service in 2016. A Ford Transit Escort Vehicle is following at the rear.

A vulnerable young lady owns the broken down X reg Golf GTi and has the Police in attendance. Their Jaguar F Pace helps make safe the scene whilst awaiting the arrival of a breakdown rescue service.

It is a frustrating time for other road users by having to follow a slow moving vehicle on one side of the carriageway and experiencing the hold-up on the other as a result of the breakdown!

The majority of the road vehicles are from the Oxford Diecast range, with most of the railway models by Hornby. Other scenic items and materials are from various manufacturers. The lights on the vehicles are by Kytes Lights of the Isle of Wight.
